Danielle Cotter – Chief Executive Officer and Owner

Danielle has a long history of providing clients with outstanding service.  In fact, it’s often overheard around the office, “Without Danielle this project doesn’t happen.”  At her previous position as Director of Operations at MVI Post, Danielle played a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction through her attention to detail, her willingness to make customers happy and her supreme organizational skills. 

It’s those skills which make Cotter Media Group a force to be reckoned with now and in the future.  “I refuse to provide anything but top-notch service,” she’s always saying.  Her abilities keep Cotter Media Group afloat and her commitment to customers is unwavering. 

Kevin Cotter – Chief Operating Officer

Kevin began his captioning career as a freelancer with MVI Post in Falls Church, VA.  After demonstrating his ability to create accurate caption files, while placing the reader’s needs above all else, he was quickly hired as a full time employee.  Soon after, he was promoted to Senior Caption Technician and demonstrated his ability to caption 6 hours of programming per day.

At his previous position Kevin was also responsible for providing Quality Control which has saved our captioning clients countless dollars and headaches to avoid last minute changes or late feed fees.  Fortunately for you, his keen eye and sharp sensibility is included in our service.

Colleen O’Hara – Operations Manager

Colleen is Cotter Media Group’s Operations Manager. She joined the team in 2018 and is an Alexandria, VA native. After studying Communication at George Mason University with a concentration in political and persuasive communication, Colleen desired to work in the entertainment industry, specifically in film and television. 

Starting as an executive assistant/caption tech, she gained experience and insight into the world of captioning and transitioned to operations manager in 2021. “The skills I’ve acquired working at Cotter Media Group are invaluable. I have learned so much from Danielle and Kevin and look forward to continuing to refine my captioning abilities.” 

Sydney Maniglia – Caption Tech

Sydney joined Cotter Media Group in 2020 after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She is thrilled to join her family’s business focusing on increasing the inclusivity of cinema for all audiences. 

Sydney is passionate about enhancing what the digital world has to offer in all platforms. “I am excited to be part of my family’s legacy and work with groundbreaking media companies who have shaped the broadcasting industry.”
